MyFileKit Blur Screenshot is designed to protect your privacy. This extension allows users to select one or multiple areas of a webpage, apply a blur effect, and download a screenshot locally.

How the Extension Works

When the user clicks the extension, a selection tool is injected into the currently active tab. After selecting areas to blur, the extension captures the visible portion of the page using the browser’s native screenshot API. All processing happens locally within the browser.

Permissions Explanation

• activeTab – Allows interaction with the currently active tab after user action.
• scripting – Enables injection of the selection interface and blur functionality.
• tabs – Required to capture a screenshot of the visible area using the browser’s native API.

Remote Code

The extension does not use remote code. All JavaScript and resources are bundled within the extension package.

Data Sharing

Since no user data is collected, no data is shared with third parties.

Children’s Privacy

This extension is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
